​Righteousness has everything to do with your prayer life.  The nature of God is righteousness.  The nature of Satan is iniquity.
1 John 5:17  All unrighteousness is sin…
 
2 Corinthians 5:17, 21  
17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
 
James 5:16  Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
 
1 John 5:14-15  Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
 
Isaiah 32:17  The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
