Most people have defined THE BLESSING by its results instead of by its real nature: We say he’s healed, that’s a blessing, got a new car, new job, that’s a blessing. Those are not The Blessing but the results of The Blessing. For example, you may see leaves blowing, and hear chimes. That’s not the wind but the results of the wind.
THE BLESSING is an empowerment, an endowment, that will enable you to be successful in every arena of your life. The curse is just the opposite. It is an empowerment to fail. We must come to grips with the fact, for example, that I can look in another city, and it looks a lot better than where I am. Where I am is terrible, or so I think. If I move over there and things begin to go bad, I must realize that I am taking it with me. I am the one causing an uncomfortable hellacious environment everywhere I go. My environment is a result of what is on the inside of me and what is coming out of my mouth. When you realize The Blessing was to recreate, reproduce the Garden of Eden all over the earth, then you begin to realize that everywhere you go The Blessing does its work to change the environment and turn it into a Garden of Eden because you are there. Not because you are trying to find the Garden of Eden and get in it, but you begin to produce that Garden right where you are. Consider what happened to Joseph. He believed he was blessed when he was a little boy. Everywhere he went The Blessing made that place the best place he had ever been, even in jail. He wound up becoming the Prime Minister of Egypt, the greatest nation on the earth at that time. The blessing of Joseph was on the people and land of Egypt. The great harvest and prosperity that came on Egypt came because of Joseph. He created Eden everywhere he went.
