WEEK OF OCTOBER 18 - 24
Jesus gave us His authority to speak to the mountain. He said, “What things soever ye desire…” (verse 24, KJV). The only requirements are:
“and does not doubt in his heart” (verse 23),
“believe that you will receive them” (verse 24), and then to make sure
“when you stand praying, [to] forgive” (verse 25), because faith will not work in an unforgiving heart.
When Peter walked on the water to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:28-30), doubt and fear rushed in as he took his attention off Jesus’ WORD “come” and allowed the wind and the waves to challenge his faith. Focusing on the circumstances moved him into the doubt and fear that made him sink. Doubt and fear are the result of believing the lies of the devil and the evidence of the five physical senses instead of The WORD of God. The WORD will always bring victory over any circumstance.
When you put on God’s armor and speak The WORD of God, filled with the faith of God, backed by the Spirit of God, and in the Name of God, no mountain, or anything else, can ignore the faith command.
With God’s faith in your heart and His WORD in your mouth, there’s no mountain that can stand in your way!
