WEEK OF AUGUST 30 - SEPTEMBER 5
God’s WORD is His will. He and His WORD are one. John 1:2 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And Hebrews 11:3 says that, “the universe was framed by the word of God.” Jesus, the second person of the Godhead, the living WORD, was born into a flesh body in the earth realm through the spoken WORD of God God’s words, His creative force are filled with His power and are sent forth by Him to do specific things. They will not return to Him empty but will accomplish what they were sent to do.
(Isaiah 55:11). So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
God created the entire universe and all that is in it with His words of faith, including the angels. Lucifer, an angel of God, was created to be the anointed cherub. When he tried to exalt himself above God, he became the enemy of God and is now known as Satan, which means “an adversary.”
Since Lucifer-Satan, or the devil-was created by God with the Word, he is subject to it. On the mount of Temptation Jesus backed Satan down using the power of the written WORD of God that created him. In Matthew 4 Jesus passed Satan’s temptations by saying to him, “It is written.” and spoke God’s WORD to counter each temptation
Matthew 4:4 “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Matthew 4:7 “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ” “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”
Matt 4:10 Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”
The devil had and still has, no defense against the power and authority of the written WORD of God. Notice, verse 11 says, “then the devil left Him..., and immediately angels came and ministered to Him.”
Jesus has given you His authority and the power of attorney to use His Name to bind the devil and his demons’ activity in the earth. Your every prayer to your heavenly Father should be based on God’s written WORD, just as the prayers of Jesus were. Jesus spent time in The WORD of God and spoke only the words of His Father (Mark 13:31). Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
WEEK OF AUGUST 23-29
Because you are a sower, you can stand on the promises God made in His Word:
2 Corinthians 9:10-11AMPC
And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity]. Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God.
God has promised two things to those who are sowers:
In the book of James, we see that faith without works is dead. When Abraham was willing to offer, or sow his son Isaac in obedience to God, the Word says Abraham’s faith was made perfect. The Amplified translation says his faith reached supreme expression.
James 2:22 You see that [his] faith was cooperating with his works, and [his] faith was completed and reached its supreme expression [when he implemented it] by [good] works.
Our faith, no matter what endeavor we apply it to, does not reach its full expression until we sow something. Make the decision now, to become a sower and enjoy a lifetime adventure in faith, fully sustained by the greatest spiritual law: the law of seedtime and harvest.
WEEK OF AUGUST 16-22
Your attitude is a seed that determines your destiny.
Attitude is a reflection of what is going on deep inside a person. Attitude is something we can’t fake. We may go to church with a smile on our face, but pretty soon, if we don’t like the music or we think they spent too much time on the offering, our attitude is going to reveal how we really feel.
The root cause of a negative attitude is the belief that nothing good is going to happen. This belief stems from not really believing God’s Word. When you spend more time in the world than you do in the Word, you are not thoroughly convinced, or fully persuaded, that God means what He says. And if you are not convinced that you can depend on God, your attitude will reveal it through your thoughts and words.
The only remedy for a negative attitude is spending time in God’s Word, allowing His thoughts to become your thoughts and His words your words. There are times when we can defeat the devil with just our attitude. We just have to determine that no matter what he says or does, it’s not going to affect our positive attitude.
Proverbs 4:20-22 say, My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.
Once you take charge of your thoughts, your words, and your attitude, and sow them as good seed, you begin to see a positive change in your material and financial sowing. (We can’t talk about the law of seedtime and harvest without including our finances and material possessions). The Word says money is a seed. Clothes can become seed, your car and your lawn mower. If you own it and it’s yours, it’s a seed. And because you are a sower, you can stand on the promise He made in His Word.
WEEK OF AUGUST 9-15
Luke 8:11 The seed is the word of God.
Pay attention to what you say!
Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things” Matthew 12:35.
Simply put, positive words produce positive results, and negative words produce negative results.
Words are seeds, and remember, every seed produces after its own kind. That’s why the Bible admonishes, “You are snared by the words of your mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth” (Proverbs 6:2).
Our words are seeds. They are vehicles; they are carriers that drive us to our destiny. The only way we can change the directions we are going in is by first changing our words.
Let’s learn this lesson! It’s very important that we learn this lesson. We have got to change our words!
SPEAK GOD’S WORD
I’m sure you’ve read God’s promise in Mark 11:23. You may have memorized it.
“Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23.
How many of you are experiencing this promise in your life? Well, are you going on and on about how it’s not working for you? Are you talking to your friends or whoever will listen to you? Needless to say, brace yourself, close your mouth! Pardon me! We need to learn the vocabulary of silence.
What does “Learn the vocabulary of silence” that mean? It simply means this: If you can’t speak the Word of God, don’t say anything. You’ve been sowing the wrong kind of seed out of your mouth.
Sometimes God has to shake us up to get our attention. That is a valuable lesson about being a sower. If you take charge of your mouth, you can take charge of your destiny.
Set aside some time to watch this teaching by Kenneth Copeland. “What You Speak Is WhatYou Get”. Reach out to your family. Send them the Link, and discuss it.
WEEK OF AUGUST 2-8
When we hear the phrase seedtime and harvest, the first thing many people think of is finances. The reason so many of God’s people are not having the kind of results they should be having with their finances is that they are only applying part of the law of seedtime and harvest. They think they will just sow some money and then become instantly wealthy.
Although the law of seedtime and harvest certainly applies to finances, money is only one type of seed that we have available to sow. If we truly want to change our lives and destinies, then we also need to take charge of our thoughts, our words, and our attitudes. Only then will we be able to allocate our finances and material goods in line with God’s will for our lives.
Did you know that:
YOUR THOUGHTS ARE SEEDS?
Did you know that:
EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE BEGAN AS A THOUGHT?
That should cause you to begin at once to change the way you think!
The Word of God says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7).
This scripture tells us that our lives tend to go in the direction of our most dominant thoughts. Whatever we think about the most is the way our lives will go.
Let’s consider a scenario. Nobody just wakes up and decides one day to embark on a life of sin and crime. That kind of life begins with a thought: A person might think, I can steal that pack of gum and nobody will ever catch me. Now that person may cast down that thought at first, but then it comes back and he meditates on it for a while. Then he actually pictures himself doing it. Next thing he knows, he’s sitting in a prison cell, serving time for robbery and wondering how his life went in that direction. Granted, that’s perhaps an over simplification, but you get the point! It began as a thought.
Anything that has the potential of growing and becoming bigger than its present state is a SEED. An acorn is an oak tree that fell to the ground, held its ground, and then grew into a giant tree. That little acorn got its beginning as a thought in the mind of God.
As you set out to become a sower, God said, if you don’t get your thoughts, your words, your actions, and your attitude in line with His Word, then, the money seed you sow will have nothing but weeds around it, and it will be choked out.
So, let’s begin filling our minds and hearts with the Word of God so that God’s thoughts will become our thoughts. Our finances will flourish!
