GOD’S WORD IS HIS WILL (Matthew 4:4)

WEEK OF AUGUST 30 - SEPTEMBER 5
God’s WORD is His will.  He and His WORD are one.  John 1:2 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”  And Hebrews 11:3 says that, “the universe was framed by the word of God.”  Jesus, the second person of the Godhead, the living WORD, was born into a flesh body in the earth realm through the spoken WORD of God   God’s words, His creative force are filled with His power and are sent forth by Him to do specific things.  They will not return to Him empty but will accomplish what they were sent to do.

 (Isaiah 55:11).  So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
God created the entire universe and all that is in it with His words of faith, including the angels.  Lucifer, an angel of God, was created to be the anointed cherub.  When he tried to exalt himself above God, he became the enemy of God and is now known as Satan, which means “an adversary.”

Since Lucifer-Satan, or the devil-was created by God with the Word, he is subject to it.  On the mount of Temptation Jesus backed Satan down using the power of the written WORD of God that created him.  In Matthew 4 Jesus passed Satan’s temptations by saying to him, “It is written.”  and spoke God’s WORD to counter each temptation
Matthew 4:4  “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Matthew 4:7  “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’ ” “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”
Matt 4:10  Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

The devil had and still has, no defense against the power and authority of the written WORD of God.  Notice, verse 11 says, “then the devil left Him..., and immediately angels came and ministered to Him.”
Jesus has given you His authority and the power of attorney to use His Name to bind the devil and his demons’ activity in the earth.  Your every prayer to your heavenly Father should be based on God’s written WORD, just as the prayers of Jesus were.  Jesus spent time in The WORD of God and spoke only the words of His Father (Mark 13:31).  Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
