GOD LOVES YOU LIKE NO ONE ELSE CAN

Romans 1:7

AMPC   To [you then] all God’s beloved ones in Rome, called to be saints and designated for a consecrated life: Grace and spiritual blessing and peace be yours from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

NLT  I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people.  May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

Have you ever been discouraged by your own failures?  Have you ever tripped over your inadequacies and short comings so many times, you are sick of yourself?  That’s when you need to stop and think about how much God loves you.  You need to close your eyes and say, “I am a dearly beloved child of God.”

Your mind might argue with you.  It might interrupt your meditation and say, How can you even think that, you ugly thing!  You are always making messes He has to clean up.  You are forever pestering Him to give you something.  Why would God ever love a mess like you?

I can tell you why He loves you – because He is your Father.  He has within Him the kind of love for you only a father or a mother has.  He has an inner drive to meet your needs.  He sees in you His very own image and delights so much in who you are that He is willing and eager to do whatever it takes to help you to grow up. 

Think about the love of a natural parent, and you can easily understand that.  The pain, all the money it will cost to raise them, all the sleepless nights they will have to endure, seems like nothing in comparison to the worth of their dearly beloved children.

That is the kind of love your heavenly Father has for you.  The reason your heart reaches out to Him and says, “Abba! Father! is because His heart reached out to you first and said, “Beloved child of My heart! I loved you so much I sent Jesus.  I loved you so much I will never forsake you.  I will be with you always – even to the end of the world.”

​Sometimes, it is hard to receive that kind of love, when you have failed or fallen.  But that is the time when you need it most.  That is when you need to run to the One Who loves you like no one else can.
