WEEK OF OCTOBER 11 - 17 Luke 17:6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you… Words spoken in faith begin to uproot mulberry trees (Luke 17:6-10) and cast mountains into the sea. Faith-filled words dominate the laws of sin and death and activate the covenant-enforcing angels of God. The angels hear words spoken in faith and respond accordingly.
Not only do angels excel in strength, but they do His commandments. They do what God has told them to do. They obey the voice of His word” (Psalm 103:20). By faith, we are that voice. When we confess and stand on His WORD as final authority in our lives – spirit, soul, body, financially, and socially – it puts us in a place of receiving. With God’s delegated authority we can confidently say to the mountains confronting us, “Be removed, and be thrown into the sea,” and expect them to move. Faith speaks the desired end result. Notice Jesus didn’t say, “Ask the Father to move the mountain for you.” In Mark 11:23 He says, “…whoever says…” It’s His faith working in and through us that causes the mountains to move when we say. Jesus continued,”…but believes that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.” Confession brings possession.
