BELIEVE THE LOVE John 17:20-26 Part 3

John 17:23  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

The miracle of the new birth is that God Himself, by the Holy Spirit, comes to live inside your re-created human spirit.  You become His son or daughter, and He loves you just as much as He loves your blood-covenant Brother Jesus.    

That revelation is so astounding, rich and empowering!  The same love where with God the Father loves the spotless, sinless Jesus, a resurrected man, is the way He loves you, His son or daughter.  And He has entrusted to you that same love in your spirit and under your command, with which to love others.  You have the same authority to forgive those who have come against, hurt, or offended you - just as Jesus did.

​The world is to see this kind of love in you and realize the only reason for it is because you belong to Him.  This covenant bond is what sets believers apart from the world and forges an inseparable and powerful connection that, when believers walk in its fullness, becomes irresistible because love – God’s love in us – never fails.
