We may have made someone or something else our source instead of God:
Our spouse, children, parents, our church, friends, even our thoughts and emotions, our jobs, bank accounts, someone or something else. These are all necessary to us, but they are not the Source of our lives! One or more of them can be cut away, but if your inner man is still anchored in God Your Source – you will continue to live and be fruitful and multiply. God can use others to help you. But remember: GOD IS YOUR SOURCE. PEOPLE ARE INSTRUMENTS (or the delivery system that He uses). By looking to God as your Source and not to people, you can be confident, positive and you can expect GOD TO PROVIDE! If stocks are your source, stocks have UPS and DOWNS Philippians 4:19 says, And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Does it say your stocks shall supply all your need? No! God is your Source. He never changes, He never fails, and He promises to multiply your seeds sown. There are no ups and downs with God. We need to get this! Don’t depend on people or things but depend on God. Let this be the lifestyle you live for the rest of your life. We started this Lesson out with Genesis 8:22. During my study time preparing for this Lesson, I sensed that I was to take a closer look at that Verse. Let’s read it again. Gen 8:22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease. That is The Law of Sowing and Reaping. Notice the four parts of the Law: 1. Seedtime and harvest, and 2. Cold and heat, and 3. Winter and summer and, 4. Day and night They shall not cease! They shall not cease! This is so important. Let it change your thinking and your believing. I want you to look at this from a different perspective. We are embarking on a lifetime journey that we should be excited about all the time. Four spiritual parts. Think about it, We have no part in cold and heat. We have no part in winter and summer. We have no part in day and night. God does all of that. Seedtime and Harvest however is different. God does His part and we MUST, I repeat, we must do our part. We must sow and we must reap in faith. We get to participate in and benefit from it as long as the earth remains, as long as we live. This is so exciting! Notice sowing and reaping is the first part mentioned in the Law. What does that tell you? Do not say again, never say again, “I get so tired of hearing about tithes and offerings… or that’s all they talk about is money, money, money… Remove those words from your vocabulary. Don’t even think that way anymore. We need to renew our minds. Again, we are embarking on a lifetime journey. What is true about natural sowing and reaping is also true about spiritual sowing and reaping. They work by the same principles. Some think that spiritual things are nothing like natural things. That is not true. Natural things are patterned after spiritual things. Galatians 6:7 Turn there. I want you to put your eyes on it. Do not be deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap. How many of you believe in the Law of Sowing and Reaping? All of us have probably quoted that Scripture. Drop down to Verse 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good: for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. The KJV says, we shall reap in due season if we faint not. Say, “In due season.” When is due season? Later than you want it to be I’m sure. For in due season we shall reap if we faint not. If we don’t get tired, give up and quit. SEED-FAITH PRINCIPLE #1 GOD IS YOUR SOURCE #2 GIVE, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU The MOST IMPORTANT DECISION you will ever make in your life is to ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST as your personal Lord and Savior. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and want to be filled with the Holy Spirit, pray these prayers in faith and mean it in your heart. PRAYER OF SALVATION: Pray out loud in faith. Dear God in Heaven, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I would be saved. I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and I confess Him now as my Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen (Romans 5:12, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10) PRAYER TO BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT: Pray out loud in faith. Father, I believe with all my heart, based on the Scriptures, that the gift of the Holy Spirit is meant for me. Just as I trust you for my eternal salvation by faith, so now I do trust you, by faith, to give me the fullness of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. I receive, by faith, the gift of the Holy Spirit within. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name, Amen (Luke 11:9-13, Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4) If you prayed these prayers you are saved and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. Please let us know: Email: [email protected] SOWING AND REAPING We have all heard about: Seedtime and Harvest, Giving and Receiving, Sowing and Reaping. It is the same principle. Open your Bibles to Gen 8 and Gal 6 Allow me to set the stage for this Lesson with this PROFOUND TRUTH: EVERYTHING IN LIFE STARTS WITH A SEED! EVERYTHING IN THE EARTH WORKS ON THE PRINCIPLE OF SEEDTIME AND HARVEST! Say that! EVERYTHING IN LIFE STARTS WITH A SEED! EVERYTHING IN THE EARTH WORKS ON THE PRINCIPLE OF SEEDTIME AND HARVEST! We will be learning about the Law of Sowing and Reaping. Gen 8:22 reads, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” Gal 6:7 says, Do not be deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap. Jesus Himself constantly compared faith with a seed being sown to get a desired result. He said in this familiar Scripture: …If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there; and it will remove; and nothing will be impossible for you. Luke 8:11 tells us, The seed is the Word of God. From time to time we have all faced mountains of need: Spiritual problems, Sickness, Family needs, Fear, Financial needs and many more. But the Good News is the LORD tells us what to do to get these mountains removed. What do we do to get these mountains removed? WE SOW A SEED OF FAITH The Bible says in Romans 12:3b, …God has dealt, or God has given, to every man the measure of faith. Not “A” measure of faith, but “THE” measure of faith. We all get the same measure. We all have faith and each of us has the same potential to develop our faith. It is up to us to develop it. The Bible talks about: No faith in Mark 4:40, Little faith in Matthew 8:26, and Great faith in Matthew 8:10. It is up to us to feed our faith, exercise or use our faith, and develop our faith. How do we get faith? Where does faith come from? Romans 10:17 tells us. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. God’s Word says in four different places that: The just shall live by faith: In Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11 and also in Hebrews 10:38 which says, Now the just shall live by faith: but if any one draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. So really, FAITH IS THE KEY TO EVERY THING! Let me prove it to you or state it in a more familiar way. Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please Him. Without faith it is impossible to please God. What does impossible mean? It can not happen. So we’ve got to have faith to please God. Listen to Romans 14:23AMP in part. …For whatever does not originate and proceed from faith is sin. We must have faith so that we can sow in faith. But, we must realize that we can have great faith in one area, no faith in another, and little faith in still another. This will become clearer later in the Lesson. When we use the faith that God has given to us according to His Word, it becomes a mighty tool to move the mountains of need we face in our lives. Our seed-sowing and our reaping put us in charge of the harvest that God said we will receive. We take control rather than sitting around at the mercy of the devil. Each act of faith is a seed sown, and it will be multiplied back to us many times, according to God’s Word! Jesus Christ is God’s Seed. He is God’s covenant of blessing, to us. Because of Jesus and through Jesus, we can make a partnership of blessing with God. Let me give you: Three Key Principles of Seed-Faith: #1 God is your Source #2 Give and it will be given to you #3 Expect a Miracle We will talk about each of them NEXT TIME
