Harvesting is an opportunity that is available to us.
Do you want to know what you have been doing wrong? When? Now! A well-known pastor said, THE MORE YOU LEARN THE MORE YOU SEE HOW LITTLE YOU KNOW! We are so ignorant about these things. But thank God for what we do know. We have known so little. Much of the world is still fussing about if it is God’s will to bless us or do anything for us. They don’t even believe in sowing and reaping. We believe in that! At least the sowing part. Is it possible to sleep thru a harvest? Not your opinion nor mine. Did we read the scripture? Proverbs 10:4-5 He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich. He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame. When we sense or experience that quietness, that hesitation, that’s a good thing. Because it means we are learning something. We need to make some changes. We need to make some adjustments. If all we ever hear is all we know, and there is no change involved, how will we move forward? How are we going to develop or grow? Say out loud: TEACH ME LORD. I WANT TO KNOW. I’M WILLING TO CHANGE. I KNOW I DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING. I KNOW THAT I KNOW SO LITTLE CONPARED TO WHAT YOU KNOW. THANK YOU FOR TEACHING ME. AMEN Ecclesiastes 11:4 He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich. He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame. The God’s Word Translation (GW) says, Whoever watches the wind will never plant. Whoever looks at the clouds will never harvest. Are there people who miss opportunities to sow because it is not a good time? They’ve got this or that going on; the children need something, insurance is due, I want to… The Lord dealt with them to sow but they say, Lord I can’t right now. It’s not a good time. In all my years, the Lord has the Lord asked, “Is this a good time?” No! And He never will because He already knows everything about the situation. Everybody that walks with the Lord has to walk by faith. There is stuff you can’t see. You don’t know how it’s going to work out but you have to trust Him. If you keep looking at other things you will miss opportunity after opportunity to sow. You will wait for a better time when you have more, or when you get this done…you’ll do more for the kingdom. No you will not! It will never happen! The Lord says if you are not faithful in the small things you will not be faithful in big things. If you will not obey Him with $20, you will not obey Him with $200,000. That’s what God said. You say, if I had more I would do more. No you wouldn’t. You won’t obey. You won’t get the opportunity! The good news is, if you will obey with $20. You will get a chance to see what you’ll do with $2,000, then $20,000… But when you choke and look at the wind, then you won’t sow. That’s just part of it. He said the same thing about reaping. Whoever watches the wind will never plant. Whoever looks at the clouds will never harvest. Is it possible to be looking at the wrong thing and not reap, even after you sowed? IS REAPING AUTOMATIC? NO! Is God responsible for our reaping, and therefore it is not up to us? This answers so many questions. There are people that believe in prosperity and sowing and reaping but they are against certain things because they have not seen them. For example, 100-fold return. They haven’t seen it. Because they haven’t seen it does not mean it is not true. These same people believe that it’s nothing to them that the harvest hasn’t come in. They are just waiting on God. If He wants them to have 10-fold, 20, 100-fold, it’s up to Him. Can you see why they will never experience 10, 20, 100-fold? They are waiting on God. Most of the church believes the same thing about healing. It’s up to God. They believe the same thing about being filled with the Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. It’s up to God. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Think about it. God created the heavens and earth. HE CREATED EVERYTHING ON THE PRINCIPLE OF SEEDTIME AND HARVEST.
