Luke 17:6-10
Luke 17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” In response to His disciples’ request to increase their faith, Jesus made it clear to His staff they didn’t need any more faith. He told them to sow – to plant or use – the faith they already had. Faith is the servant of the believer. It is the duty of the believers’ faith to do what we command it to do. Our faith has been given to us by God to use, in His Name, to meet our every need and to stand against all the fiery arrows and storms of the curse. Jesus said the whole kingdom of God works like a seed (Mark 4:26). The believer must plant it and expect it to produce. When we sow it, or put it on the line, He WILL develop it. That’s what He does! When we act in faith on His WORD, the situation may look impossible. That’s when we obey 2 Corinthians 4:18: “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
