Among Word of Faith people, there have been incorrect assumptions and presumptions, and the idea has been left, that if you will just put enough money in the offering and sow enough seeds, and make enough confessions, you will prosper.
That is not the whole story. That is only part of the story,
There is a widely held presumption, the general concession is, that if you sow seeds, make your confessions, the rest is up to God. That’s all there is to it!
That is not true!
You don’t have to look far to know that. The people around you are sowing, and sowing, and sowing. Confessing, and confessing, and confessing. But they are behind on paying their bills. Not just for a few days, but week after week, year after year and they are still in debt.
Something is not right! Does the Word work or not?
So, if we are not seeing results, it is not God’s fault, and it is not a problem with the Word. It is a problem with our understanding, or our doing. It is a lack of understanding the Word of God or our not doing the right thing.
All we have heard has been sow more offerings, give more and make confessions.
This is a very important question.
Is REAPING automatic? Is HARVESTING automatic?
That is, if you sow and make confessions you will reap?
I ask again, Is reaping automatic?
Is it true in the natural? Well, is it?
What do you think?
According to Proverbs 10, you can sleep right through harvest time.
Is it possible that people could plant crops and God rain on them, have perfect conditions, and have 30, 60, 100-fold crop hanging on the stalk, or on the plants?
Will the harvest come off the vine or off the stalk and go to the barn by itself? No! That never happens.
If somebody doesn’t take it off and receive it in, it will not be harvested.
In fact, whole harvests have been lost because of the failure of somebody taking the responsibility to go out and take it in.
Is it work to get it in? Yes, harvest time is hard work. It’s one of the busiest times of the year.
When it’s time to harvest, it’s time! You have a window of time to harvest! It’s not time for a nap!
Let’s read Proverbs 10:4-5 again. He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. What happens when you’re slack? That’s how you become poor. But if you are diligent, that makes you rich.
Verse 5, He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.
These verses are talking about the same thing.
Harvesting is an opportunity that is available to us. We’ve got a lot of church going, offering giving, confessing people that are ignoring this whole side of harvesting. All they know to do is give another offering and make more confessions, month after month, year after year. They are not harvesting but they should be harvesting.
They are not experiencing the miraculous provision that they should be experiencing.
Why? Because they are waiting for God to harvest it for them. They believe it is not their responsibility, but it is God’s job to get it to them and it is all automatic.
No farmer believes that. Everybody knows, whether it is wheat, or fruit, or whatever is planted, you don’t wait for God to pick it or start the tractor for you.
Do you want to know what you have been doing wrong?
A well-known pastor said,
THE MORE YOU LEARN THE MORE YOU SEE HOW LITTLE YOU KNOW!
AS LONG AS THE EARTH REMAINS (Part 2)
My Subject today is, “HOW TO HARVEST” is any one interested in this?
Do you want to learn HOW TO HARVEST?
-Go to Genesis 8
-There has been some incorrect, incomplete thinking among the so called ‘Word of Faith’ people.
There has been a lot of emphasis on one part and hardly any emphasis on the rest of it. We believe strongly in sowing and reaping around here. God is a good God. God gives us richly all things to enjoy. And so forth.
But there is another part that has not been emphasized and it should be. We know people who have been sowing but have not been reaping off of what they have sown. They have not been harvesting what they can and should.-God is going to help us. He’s going to show us what to change, what to quit doing, what to start doing so we can begin to reap, begin to harvest.
Say out loud, LORD, SHOW ME, TEACH ME HOW TO HARVEST IN JESUS’ NAME I ASK. AMEN
First of all, let’s cover this in Genesis 8. We want to be assured of this principle.
Genesis 8:22 (NKJV) - “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.”
Let’s read this in other translations:
New Living Translation (NLT) - As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”
God’s Word Translation (GW) - As long as the earth exists, planting and harvesting, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never stop.”
Basic Bible (BBE) – While the earth goes on seedtime and the getting in of the grain, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will not come to an end.
Easy to read Version (ERV) - As long as the earth continues, there will always be a time for planting and a time for harvest. There will always be cold and hot, summer and winter, day and night on earth.”
This is a principle that will remain as long as the earth remains
It is an all-inclusive principle – Seedtime and Harvest
What does all-inclusive mean? Webster says, intended to cover all items, (or every area of life).
AS LONG AS THE EARTH REMAINS (Part 1)
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
What will you reap? Whatever you sow.
Whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Most of the time when you hear that, it is heard, quoted or received with a negative feeling. Someone might say, “Okay, you gone reap what you sow.” That should not be your response, if you have sown good seed, or done some good things.
Has anybody in here sown some good seeds, done some good things? Then your response should be “Glory to God!”
Verse 8, For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
Verse 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Do not get tired of doing the right thing
Due season is usually later than you want it to be. Your flesh does not want to wait, it doesn’t even want to hear soon. It likes to hear now!
Just look at society. As technology has advanced, one of the main ways it is applied is in avoiding a wait. We have instant this and instant that, drive through and microwave everything. As technology advances that’s the first place it is applied – that is, cut down on our wait time.
Some of that is okay, but one well known pastor used to say, it’s not good English but he would say, “God don’t have no instant pudding.” If God has pudding, it’s the real thing. Not dehydrated, just add water.
Many people don’t know how to cook any more. They have become dependent on all the short cuts. In our drive-thru, microwave world people want to do that to the things of God and it just doesn’t work.
They that wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength (Isaiah 30:41). They that wait on Him! So to reap the benefits of serving the Lord and to see the resulst, you’ve got to put your flesh under and quit being in such a rush. Quit being in such a haste, and you will reap in due season, if you faint not.
Why do people faint? They get tired of waiting, tired of doing the right thing, tired of doing what the Lord told them to do. They want to know why hasn’t it happened yet…and they quit. It won’t happen if you quit! They get disillusioned, they get annoyed. You will reap, if you faint not. You will reap in due season.
God’s will for you is to “prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2).
We know it’s true because His WORD is filled with promises of prosperity for His children.
So, how do we receive the prosperity God has planned for us? Well, you and I are the ones who have to receive by faith what His WORD says belongs to us. It’s our decision to believe for our prosperity in every area of life.
God has provided everything you need and desire already. What do you need right now? What do you desire? When you determine what you need and want:
-Find scriptures that cover your prosperity.
-Go to God in prayer.
-Let Him know you are in agreement with His WORD. Then
-Relax and get ready to receive.
God promised that His blessings “shall come on thee, and overtake thee” (Deut. 28:1-2). Let the reality of God’s provision stir in your spirit for victory in every area of your life.
4. GOD HAS OPENED A WINDOW OF HEAVEN OVER MY LIFE!
Malachi 3:10 …If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.
God wants to raise your faith to a level so incredible, you will actually test Him. As you obey the voice of God, the floodgates of the windows of heaven will open, causing blessing to overflow into your life in a demonstration of SUPER-ABUDANCE! God is waiting patiently for you to prove Him!
5. GOD WILL TAKE ME HIGHER THAN I HAVE EVER BEEN BEFORE
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Beloved, as the Lord elevates you to this high place, allow the eyes of your heart to be flooded with light. Visualize yourself, not where you are naturally, but where God has taken you supernaturally. Total well-being, unlimited supply, complete provision, and SUPER-ABUNDANCE are yours!
6. GOD IS GOING TO MANIFEST MIRACLE MONEY INTO MY LIFE
Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
While the world is experiencing one financial crisis after another, you will still live in the SUPER-ABUNDANCE of His overflow. Come into a place with God, where everything you put your hand on transforms into an expression of His blessing. The manifestation of miracle money is going to shower down upon you!
7. GOD HAS A DOUBLE-PORTION MIRACLE ANOINTING FOR ME!
2 Kings 2:9 …Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
Have the faith to ask for what you need. A double-portion miracle cannot be obtained through natural vision. You will do what God wants you to do once the eyes of your heart are anointed. This is your time to run quickly and take hold of your blessing!
1 .GOD LOVED ME BEFORE HE CLEANSED ME!
Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
Don’t allow the devil to deceive you by telling you who you are. There are realms and manifestations that God will only take you into when you come into the knowledge of who you are in Him. You are NOT who the devil says you are, you are who God says you are.
2. GOD IS POURING OUT HIS BLESSINGS WITH NO LIMITS!
Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
God will call you to come under the shower of His blessing. You won’t experience just a financial anointing. He will also pour out healing, family victories, and both professional and creative miracles. God’s blessing is much greater than the world’s wealth. He has total and complete provision for every aspect of your life!
3. GOD WILL TAKE MY LITTLE AND TURN IT INTO A LIFETIME OF SUPER-ABUNDANCE!
2 Chronicles 20:20 …Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.
Sometimes, obedience and willingness are all that God needs to multiply an incredible miracle within your circumstances. Are you ready to enter into this manifestation of miracle-working faith? God is telling you today, keep looking to Him as your divine Source.
The Blessed State of the Righteous
Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. 4 Unto the upright there rises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. 5 A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion. 6 Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. 7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. 8 His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies. 9 He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor. 10 The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.
The Cheerful Giver
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows [a]bountifully will also reap [b]bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of [c]necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
Proverbs 10:22AMPC The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].
Adapted from Deuteronomy 26 and Malachi 3 to be spoken over your tithe:
I confess this day to You, Lord God, that I have come into the inheritance which You swore to give me. I was a sinner held in bondage and in darkness by Satan. But I called upon the Name of Jesus and You heard my cry and delivered me from the power and authority of darkness. You lifted me out of my affliction and oppression. You took me in and forgave me and translated me into the kingdom of Your dear Son. You made me Yours through the shed blood of Jesus and gave me authority over the evil one.
Jesus, as my Lord and High Priest, I bring the first fruit of my land (income) which You have given me, I expect You to set it before the Father and worship Him with it. I rejoice in all the good which You have given me and my household (family). I have listened to the voice of the Lord my God and have done according to all that You have commanded me.
Now look down from heaven, Your holy habitation, and bless me, Your son and servant, according to Your riches in glory. Bless my land (job, income) as You have promised in Your Word.
I declare the blessing is pouring out and there is not enough room to receive it! God, You have rebuked the devourer for my sake. The work of my hands will not be destroyed and come to nothing. Today, I am experiencing God’s supernatural increase, and I walk in it by faith. I worship You, Lord, and I call it done.
In Jesus’ Name.
Father, I thank You and praise You for translating me from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom that You have prepared for me. Thank You that it is a kingdom of mercy, joy and abundance.
I bring my tithe now to You, Lord Jesus. It is the first fruits of what You have given me, and I plant it in Your kingdom as a seed of blessing, expecting the rich blessings of heaven to be multiplied to me in return.
I thank You, Lord, that You’ve rebuked Satan for my sake, and I stand in agreement with Your Word that he’ll not destroy my land. He’ll not destroy my blessings, and he’ll not destroy my crop in the field. I am a citizen of Your kingdom. I have the rights and privileges of that kingdom and I stand upon them. Thank You, Jesus, that heaven’s unlimited resources are mine in Your Name. Amen!
The SUBJECT of the entire teaching is: THE SOWER SOWETH THE WORD.
21 And he said unto them, is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested…
This is Jesus speaking. There is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested. There is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested. This is the Son of the Living God speaking!
For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should come abroad (or be revealed).
23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Has it ever looked to you like the answer to your situation is a secret? Well, has it? It probably hasn’t been put to you like that before. You are looking at something and say, “I don’t know what I’m going to do. Everywhere I look is a dead-end street. Lord, what am I going to do”?
There is nothing hidden which shall not be revealed. Nor has anything been kept a secret, but that it should come to light.
Yeah, but that is not talking about an answer to a problem. That is talking about spiritual things. That happens to be THE ANSWER to the problem.
Don’t you know that a spirit created all matter?
Don’t you know a spirit created the earth?
Jesus said God is a Spirit and those that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)
Well, what is the Holy Ghost called? The Spirit of Truth.
Didn’t the Word say He will guide you into all truth? John 16:13 saya, However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;
He is talking about the Word of God.
He also knows the answer to your situation. That also is the truth and He knows it.
23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
When Jesus reveals a truth, He expects you to make the decision, “I am an any man and I am going to hear. Once you have heard, you are smart enough to choose God’s way. He expects you to do that.
He walks by faith. He’s got faith in the Spirit of God and He has faith in you! He will always take the God way.
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
Let’s go back and notice some things.
The SUBJECT of this teaching is THE SOWER SOWETH THE WORD. The ground that the seed is sown in is not the subject.! The Word of God is the subject.
The OBJECT is HOW TO WALK IN GOD’S WORD. THE WORD OF GOD WILL PRODUCE 100-FOLD
That is the reason for teaching it. To teach us how to produce a 100-fold through the Word of God.
This is a foundational lesson concerning Tithing, concerning material prosperity, concerning what God’s plan was for us in the earth and how to move in that plan.
God really planned for His people to control the finances of the world. He told Israel, “If You will do what I command you to do, I will make you above and not beneath. You will be the head and not the tail and you will lend to many and not borrow. That’s in Deuteronomy 28:12-13 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
Nations will fear you because you are blessed of God.
The Body of Christ is the seed of Abraham. He fully intended for the Body of Christ to do that. It’s simple to prove that in the Word of God. The Bible says, Jesus sat down at the right hand of God, fully expecting His enemies to be made His footstool. That’s in Matthew 22:44 The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thine footstool?”
Well, is poverty an enemy? Is lack an enemy? The Bible says it’s a curse. Are sickness and disease enemies?
We are going to build a firm foundation for what we are going to study in this teaching. Take good notes. Prepare yourselves to hear, decide not to be distracted or disturbed. It will require a decision on your part because, Satan will try his best to keep you from finding out what we are about to learn. What we are going to learn is going to make you free of the chokehold Satan has on the finances of the Body of Christ.
Let’s do this:
Close your eyes. Lift your hands and pray this prayer with me.
God in heaven, I prepare myself now to hear from the Spirit of God. Jesus, I will hear your voice in my spirit. In the Name of Jesus, I open my heart and my mind to be a channel of Your Word and of Your blessing. I make the decision now, I will not be distracted. I will hear of the Spirit. In the Name of Jesus. Amen
Turn to Mark 4
This is the situation: Jesus had taught at a meeting earlier. He taught them from a parable, and His disciples and staff wanted Him to teach it to them. At the close of this teaching (verse 34) it says, “But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.” He did not leave out anything.
13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? Jesus said, if you understand this parable you can understand all of them. This is the grandfather of all parables, so to speak.
14 The sower soweth the word.
15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard underline heard. When they have heard, the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, underline hear
Such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear underline hear
Such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
