Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 2
Once you begin to believe it is God's will to prosper you, you can't help but wonder how He is going to do it. Is He going to put a check in the mail? Or start floating $20 bills down from the trees? No. He's going to do it by prospering your soul. He's going to plant the seeds of prosperity in your mind, will and emotions, and as they grow, they'll produce a great financial harvest. Go to the book of Genesis and read the story of Joseph. It's a perfect demonstration of what I'm talking about. When Joseph was sold as a slave to the Egyptians, he didn't have a dime to his name. He didn't even have his freedom. He'd been sold as a slave. But, right in the middle of his slavery, God gave Joseph such wisdom and ability that he made his owner prosper. As a result, the man put Joseph in charge of all his possessions. Later, Joseph was put in prison. There's really not much opportunity for advancement in prison, is there? But God gave him insight that no other man in Egypt had. That insight landed him a position on Pharaoh's staff. Not as a slave but as the most honored man in the entire country next to Pharaoh himself. He rode along in a chariot and people literally bowed down before him. During a worldwide famine, Joseph was in charge of all the food. Now that's prosperity! How did God accomplish all that? By prospering Joseph's soul. No matter how dismal his situation became, no matter how impossible his problems, God was able to reveal the spiritual secrets that would open the door of success for him. That's what makes God's method of prospering so exciting. It works anywhere and everywhere. It will work in the poorest countries on the face of this earth just like it works here in the United States. And you can be sure that it will work for you! …Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL POWER [authority] IS GIVEN UNTO ME in heaven and in earth. GO YE THEREFORE…. Matthew 28:18-19
And these signs shall follow them that believe IN MY NAME…. Mark 16:17 What effect would it have on your life if a wealthy man were to give you a legal document, telling you to use it to supply every one of your needs? Yet we have been given something even greater than that! God has given us the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus! And that Name has authority in this earth. The use of that Name is not a matter of faith, actually, but rather it is a matter of assuming your legal rights in Christ, taking your place as a son of God, and using what belongs to you. His Name belongs to you! We have a right to use that Name against our enemies. We have a right to use that Name in our praise and worship. We have the right to use that Name in petitions. Praise God, that Name belongs to us! That Name has been given to us that we might carry out the will of God the Father in this dispensation in which we live. The Early Church used this authority. They acted for Jesus in His stead. And we are to use His Name and act in His stead today! Confession: All authority in Heaven and earth resides in the Name of Jesus. The use of that Name and its authority have been given to me. I have a right to use the Name of Jesus! WEEK 4
5. The More You Sow, the More You Harvest “A man’s harvest in life will depend entirely on what he sows.” –Galatians 6:7 (PHILLIPS) It’s counterintuitive, isn’t it? To just keep giving and giving, thinking you’ll end up with more and more? Yet, it is spiritual law. The Church has taught the Body of Christ to tithe, which is 10% of your income. And that’s an important principle. Yet, Jesus said to give as you’ve been blessed: “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38, ESV). There’s an increase that comes when you give beyond the tithe—when you sow seed. In other words, the more you sow, the more you harvest. It works in the field, and it works in the spirit realm. And Luke 6:38 means your income is unlimited. David Green, founder and CEO of Hobby Lobby, is one of the wealthiest men in the world. Known for his extreme generosity, he says it has seemed that no matter how much he increased his giving, his income continued to increase. On living a lifestyle of giving, he says: “My journey into generosity has shown me two important things, among others,” he said. “First, generosity has a starting point. You don’t just wake up one day and poof, you’re generous. It begins with a decision to steward your resources with a heavenly mindset. Second, generosity depends not on how much money we have but the posture of our hearts.” Like Jerry Savelle, he has seen the power of sowing seed work in his life. The more they have sown, the more they have harvested. And the same is true for you. The more you sow, the greater your harvest will be. You just have to get into a giving mindset! Needs are fulfilled by sowing seeds. No one can determine your outcome—or income—but you. If you’re withholding seed, you’re not going to experience what God has for you. But if you put your faith in God’s system of sowing and reaping, you’ll see results you never dreamed possible. When you take the time to meditate on these 5 Reasons Why Your Seed Determines Your Income, you’ll never look at giving the same way again. Instead of feeling like you have to twist your own arm to sow a seed, you’ll be looking for places to sow and give, knowing that when you do so, you are increasing your income God’s way! WEEK 3
4. God Provides the Seed “He…provides seed for the sower.” –2 Corinthians 9:10 (AMP) God has never required from us what He does not enable us to do. So, when God calls us to sow, you can be sure that He provides the seed. In his message, Jerry Savelle shared with us when this became revelation to him: “We can’t talk about the law of seedtime and harvest without including our finances and material possessions. I saw in the Word that my money was seed. I saw in the Word that my clothes could become seed, and so could my car and my lawnmower. If I own it and it’s mine, it’s a seed. And because I am a sower, I can stand on the promise He made in His Word: And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity]. Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:10–11, AMPC). There are so many believers who can attest that God lives up to the two things He has promised sowers: (1) They will never be without seed, and (2) He will increase their resources for sowing. When you make the decision to become a sower, you’ll take yourself on a lifetime adventure in faith, fully sustained by the greatest spiritual law: the law of seedtime and harvest. And one thing you can count on when you’re a giver—you’ll never be without seed. Today, ask God for more seed to sow! WEEK 2
2. A Seed’s Assignment Is To Grow “When it is sown, it grows up and becomes….” –Mark 4:32 (NKJV) This is what God designed seeds to do—become. A seed produces more of its own kind—far more than what was originally planted. A seed’s assignment is to grow. That’s what God designed it to do. So, the seed knows what to do, and the soil knows what to do. Do you know what to do? Your job is to plant seeds and expect them to grow and become a harvest in your life. Your seed determines your income when you learn that money isn’t your only seed. Jerry Savelle says, “If we truly want to change our life and destiny, then we also need to take charge of our thoughts, our words and our attitudes. Only then will we be able to appropriate our finances and material goods in line with God’s will for our lives.” Thoughts are seeds. Words are seeds. Time is seed; possessions are seed; and yes, money is absolutely seed. That’s why the Lord said this to Brother Savelle years ago: “If you don’t get your thoughts, your words, your actions and your attitude in line with my Word, then the money seed you sow will have nothing but weeds around it, and it will be choked out.” You can be certain that when you plant seed, it will grow. When you sow financial seed into good soil—Kingdom soil—it will bring a harvest. So, don’t get caught up in the idea that you need to hold onto everything you have. Keep yourself in a continual state of sowing and reaping, and watch as your seed—not your job—determines your income. That’s why Jerry Savelle says, “My income always far exceeds what the board at my ministry pays me. Why? Because I’m a sower. I live to give.” 3. Seed Will Grow in Unusual Places “Seedtime and harvest…shall not cease.”—Genesis 8:22, KJV There’ something interesting about seeds. Seeds will grow in some of the most unusual places because that’s all they know to do. That’s good news because the world says you have to have the right job, the right background, the right education and the right opportunity in front of you to increase. But that’s not true with seed. When you sow seed—even in the most unlikely places according to the world—God says you will receive a harvest. Jerry Savelle saw this principle in action while riding his motorcycle through Colorado. As he drove the winding roads through the mountains, he noticed something interesting—trees growing on rocky mountains. With no soil in view, he wondered how that could be. But there they were. It was likely, he thought, that a bird had picked up a seed somewhere and dropped it where there was just enough soil and moisture that the seed knew to grow. “Seeds will grow when you plant them,” he says. “Seeds that aren’t sown are seeds that aren’t growing.” WEEK 1
How much money do you make in a year? Yes, it’s a personal question, but it’s only a blog! No one can hear you. You probably answered the amount your employer pays you, right? Most of us would. But here’s the real answer—the God answer. How much money you make in a year—That’s your salary. Your income is unlimited. Do tell, you may be thinking. Don’t mind if we do. At the 2021 Washington, D.C. Victory Campaign, Jerry Savelle ministered to us about how your seed determines your income. He shared how God never intended for your vocation to be what you do only to earn a living; He also intended it to help you earn a giving. That’s because we were created to be a sower. Your income is designed to be harvested from the seed you plant. Your company might determine your salary, but you’re the one who has the legal right to determine your income. And it’s all based on seed. Ready to learn more? Here are 5 Reasons Why Your Seed Determines Your Income. 1. Seed Was God’s Second Gift to Man “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth.” –Genesis 1:29 (KJV) Have you ever noticed it? There are two gifts God gave to man after Creation. We talk a lot (as we should) about God’s first gift to man—dominion and authority— which is found in Genesis 1:28, but we don’t always look beyond to the next verse where we find His second gift to man—seed. Like anything with God, this is not a coincidence. Gift No. 1 was dominion and authority. Gift No. 2 was seed. God’s intention was that man would have dominion and authority to determine his income by the seed he sows. He put that power in our hands! That means a man’s harvest in life depends entirely on the seed he sows—not the government, not the company he works for, not his ministry. We each determine our income by the seeds we sow. When we realize that seed is a gift God intends for us to use to prosper, it changes everything! That’s why the devil has kept believers trapped in the idea that the safest thing to do is hold tightly to everything they have for fear of not having enough. As long as they’re holding seed in their hand, it can’t reproduce. Everything that happens on earth—including the events in your life—revolves around seed. Let’s take another look at Genesis 1: 29 in the King James Version: “And God said, ‘Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.’” The word meat at the end of this verse is also translated as provision. God intended for seed to be for our provision. When we plant a natural seed, we receive a food-producing plant that provides for our physical needs. But it also works in every area of our lives. And that’s why your seed determines your income. PROSPERITY IS MORE THAN FINANCES
“I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” –3 John 1:2 (NKJV) Whenever someone mentions “the prosperity gospel,” especially in a negative sense, they are referring to money only. That’s certainly part of living life more abundantly, but that isn’t all Jesus had in mind. It would be easy to settle for spiritual prosperity, but that type of spiritual laziness does not bring glory to God and give full honor to what Jesus paid for us to enjoy here on earth. It is the will of God for us to be made whole—spirit, soul and body—and to be kept that way until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ (see 1 Thessalonians 5:23). What is included in whole-life prosperity?
True prosperity verses false prosperity and understanding what it really is.
When you’re talking about prosperity, or when most people hear the word prosperity they immediately think money. They are not incorrect but they are incomplete because money by itself can not define prosperity. When you talk about TRUE PROSPERITY you must first of all understand that True Prosperity can only come from God and His Word. Then you understand that True Prosperity deals with every arena of life, your spirit, your soul and your body. To prosper in your spirit means you’re Born Again. To prosper in your Soul means having a sound mind. To prosper in your Body means you’re healthy and prosper in your relationships. What we really want to do is to get people to change their thinking and come into a Bible definition concerning prosperity. Being successful in every arena of life, Consider a PIE divided into slices. You have a family relationship slice, a Healing slice, a Faith slice, Salvation, Financial prosperity and more. If you take two slices out of the pie you don’t have a whole pie. Something is missing. To prosper means that every slice is a part of that pie. It is wholeness, complete, total, well being in every area. As fathers we are not satisfied if our children are just financially prosperous, but they are sick or they are healed but have terrible relationships. As fathers we want our kids to have a complete, well-being in every arena of their lives. God is our Father and He is concerned about us having total success in every area. To truly be rich cannot be defined by how much money you have in the bank. To truly be rich is defined by the wholeness of your life. If a man has a million dollars in the bank but dying of cancer, he’s just a poor man with a million dollars in the bank, healed but no money in the bank. He’s still a poor man with a healed body…. So let’s redefine how you look at prosperity. Prosperity does not just deal with money, but money is a part of it. We are talking about an ABUNDANT LIFE! in every area. Excelling to the point desired. God is interested in our living this prosperous abundant life. We must learn how to operate in the Kingdom of God. For example, how do we get from point A to point B? First you have to know about it. But just knowing about it is not going to feed your family, or heal your body, or fix your financial situation. There is something that has to happen while you are at point A to get over to where the goal is, point B. God started it with the Garden of Eden and Eden was God’s own handiwork. He planted that Garden. He grew it before He ever created the man (Adam) and put him in there. So here he is in this place that we are talking about. He started out a success. Then he lost it and he went about as far down as any man can go. In the Garden he experienced THE BLESSING that is so powerful. He had the power in him and on him to take the Garden to the whole earth, to bless the whole earth. Everything in it: Everything that walked. Everything that breathed. He had the power to bless it. When he fell he was removed from that Garden out into a place that was violently against him instead of for him. Once he got out from under THE BLESSING, he never was able to prosper enough to get out of sight of the Garden. So we can use the Garden now as the place we are trying to get to. Notice in the Garden there was seed. He planted seed in the ground. There was prosperity in that Garden, healing in that Garden, health, joy, successful relationships. What we want to know is how do I get my life back to the place of where it can operate as if I’m in the Garden of Eden again. And learn how to operate in the Kingdom of God, (God’s way of doing things.) But not only God’s way of doing things, but WHAT IS HIS WAY of doing things. If this is the Garden of Eden over here and I’m somewhere over here, everything in my life should be looking toward this. Not necessarily toward heaven but here on earth. God designed it to be here on the earth. That’s been His Will all the time (Revelation 27). Somehow, in Jesus this is still available. He is the last Adam. Since it’s still available, how then do I take the next step toward that, knowing that it is available to me now in Christ Jesus. The key to that is in the first step, understanding God’s way to doing what He does. I’ve got to get hold of how does God think? How does He govern things? How does God bring about healing and deliverance? His ways of operating can be located. We can locate all those keys right there in the Garden. What we want to do is to break this down and to walk people from where they are in life right now back into the Garden of Eden. Eden means “voluptuous” supply, unending supply. What did Jesus say? “I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” Let’s interpose those two. He could very easily have said, I have come that you might get the Garden of Eden back in your life like God planned it in the first place. That’s why I’m here. In Genesis it very plainly states that thorns and thistles were not there until that curse struck the land and the land began to produce thorns and thistles which were in direct opposition to Adam and THE BLESSING that was originally there (Genesis 3:17-18). BE A BLESSING
Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. Psalm 35:27, The Amplified Bible If traditional religion has taught you that God wants you poor and oppressed, I have good news for you today. The Bible says, "God takes pleasure" in your prosperity. God wants you to prosper! Not just in the financial realm but in every area of your life...spirit, soul and body. No matter where you are or who you are, God wants to see you delivered from every adverse situation. Why? Because He loves you and He has a job for you to do. He wants you to help meet the needs of mankind and He's smart enough to know that you can't give away what you don't have. You can't give to spread the gospel or buy food for the hungry when you're broke. You can't go out laying hands on the sick when you're lying in a hospital bed. You can't minister joy to others when you're being held captive by depression. No! You have to be blessed to be a blessing. If you really want to tap into the riches of God today, make up your mind to be a blessing to others, and before you know it, you'll be receiving more from God than you ever dreamed. That's what happened to me. I decided years ago, first and foremost, to be a giver. I developed a lifestyle of giving. Today, I literally "live to give." And I don't mind telling you, God dumps blessings on me by the truckload! He'll do the same for you if you'll become His servant—if you'll lay down your time and your money and your love for those who need it. Become a giver—and God will take pleasure in prospering you! Scripture Reading: Genesis 12:1-4,Genesis 13:1-4 Kenneth Copeland Is fear contaminating your faith? Ask yourself these questions: Do you worry about the safety of your children each time they walk out the door? Do you find yourself pacing if your spouse is 15 minutes late for dinner? Do you get stressed every time newscasters are proclaiming doom and gloom for the economic markets? Do you fear each time a storm comes through your state? If so, then it’s time for you to take a stand against worry. Here are 10 scriptures to help you stand strong against worry and fear.
Why is it so Important to Meditate on God’s Word? So many born-again believers miss out on the world-overcoming victory that’s theirs in Christ Jesus. They keep finding themselves “under” the circumstances instead of “on top,” and they can’t figure out why. They’ve never understood a foundational truth about living the successful Christian life. They’ve never understood why it is so important to meditate on, or ponder and contemplate, the Word of God. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh” (KJV). Notice that according to those verses, when you “attend” to God’s words they become “sayings.” The Scriptures start talking to you. The Holy Spirit speaks them to you on the inside so you can not only see but hear the thoughts of God. If you’ll make the decision to take those thoughts by saying them on purpose over and over again, eventually you’ll catch yourself saying them without having to decide to do it. When that happens, your thinking in that area will have been converted. God’s thoughts will have become your own. Suddenly, you will see something entirely different than the world sees. While they see drought, you see rivers. While they look at famine, you see feast. While they look at financial collapse, you see the riches of THE BLESSING. I’m not saying all your circumstances will change overnight. It often takes time for the manifestation of THE BLESSING to become visible in this natural realm. But you can still “see” it—because you don’t really see with your physical eyes. I don’t either. You see with your mind. Your brain collects information and turns it into images in your soul. Then you interpret those images and decide what to do with them. I have a very good friend who proves that point every day. A Partner with this ministry, he owns a gun store. He does not have sight in his natural eyes. One of his customers told me he bought guns from him for four years without noticing anything unusual about him. “I’d tell him which gun I wanted and he’d go over to the case and get it with no problem,” he said. “He’d clear it, break it down, whatever he needed to do, and hand it to me. I’d stand there talking to him and looking him right in the face with no idea he was blind.” Amazing as it seems, the man also trains military personnel. According to his staff, if you’re his enemy and you don’t want him to shoot you, you’d better be real quiet. His ears catch sounds yours don’t. He can hear you breathe from across the room—and if he hears you, he can shoot you. Can that man see? Absolutely. He sees with his hands. He sees with his ears. He sees images on the inside of him the same as you and I do. His eyes don’t yet transfer light from his eyes to his brain, but that’s changing. He’s attending to the Word. He’s fixing his spiritual gaze on his miracle-working God. You and I can do the same thing. Instead of looking at the circumstances around us, we can focus on the Word of God. Instead of meditating on what the world says, we can spend our time meditating on what God says. As we do, the Word will get on the inside of us and begin to change our thoughts, our health and our reality! |
